Hanover’s Mousse T. is a DJ and Grammy nominated producer with a prolific career which stretches back to the early 1990s, with a number of commercially successful releases on his Peppermint Jam label in the late 1990s which catapulted him to a globally known house-hold name.
Throughout the 2000’s, he has remained as prolific, releasing two albums, several productions and a movie score for the German movie ‘Pornorama’. In 2007 Mousse T. performed his extensive back catalogue live, accompanied by the Filmorchestra Babelsberg under the moniker ‘Re-Orchestrated’. Fast forward to the present day and Mousse T. is one of the leading lights in the hugely enviable Glitterbox roster of DJs and producers, having released ‘Rock The Mic’ in 2018 to wide acclaim, which helped him secure the coveted #1 spot on the Traxsource top 100 House Artists of 2018.
MGerman counterpart Boris Dlugosch’s chameleon-like approach has helped him to amass an incredibly enviable catalogue of grooves that continues to grow every year.
Releasing on illustrious labels like Classic Music, Defected and Running Back, Dlugosch’s chunky basslines, crisp percussion and earworm melodies have found their way to all corners of the house music scene. His successful working relationship with Purple Disco Machine yielded L.O.V.E. and Set It Out, which both hit the #1 spot on Traxsource and the Top 5 on Beatport, as did Peppermint Jam’s 20th anniversary remix package of his classic Keep Pushin’.
Keep Pushin’ was the track that broke him through onto the global house scene in the mid-’90s in a big way, which was followed by his remix for Moloko’s ‘Sing It Back’, a huge crossover track that reached #4 in the UK Singles Chart. Next came reworks for Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Jamiroquai and Moby.
A Boiler Room Berlin set in 2013 introduced him to a new generation of house music lovers, and his regular ‘In The Mix’ uploads on SoundCloud give a good idea of what can be heard in his club and festival sets. Upfront house meets garagey classics and disco cut-ups, dashes of electro, acid and deep melodic moments to give a well-rounded selection that perfectly marries house music’s past, present and future.
